NCHSM Admissions Checklist: Documents, Fees and How to Apply

Prepared by the NCHSM Editorial Team · Updated 26 October 2026

Applying to college is easier when you know what to check before submitting your details. This guide brings together the admissions information published by Nakuru College of Health Sciences and Management (NCHSM) and highlights the details applicants should confirm directly before making payments or travelling to campus.

Important: Intake dates, programme availability, entry requirements and charges can change. The official admissions page may display notices for an earlier intake. Contact the college to confirm the current intake and the exact requirements for your chosen programme before applying.

1. Choose a programme and verify its requirements

Start with the college's programme listings, then open the official application and admissions page. Ask Admissions to confirm the course name, award, duration, entry requirements, examining or regulatory body, practical learning expectations and whether applications are currently being accepted.

Do not assume that two courses with similar names have identical entry requirements or professional registration outcomes. If your goal is a regulated health profession, verify the relevant regulator's requirements for the specific qualification.

2. Prepare your documents

The college's published application guidance lists the following documents. Confirm the number of copies and whether originals, certified copies or digital uploads are required for the current application:

3. Check the application fee and payment instructions

The official admissions page has published application charges of KSh 2,000 for nursing and KSh 1,000 for other programmes. These amounts should be confirmed with Admissions before payment because published fees and procedures can be revised. Ask for the current official payment method, account or paybill details, and a receipt or reference for your records.

Protect yourself: Do not rely on old application forms, forwarded messages or unverified personal payment details. Confirm payment instructions using the official college contact information.

4. Submit your application through an official channel

The college's application page provides an online enquiry/application form and also says applicants can send a copy of their KCSE results slip to the official college email or the WhatsApp numbers shown there. Use the current details on the official application page, and keep a copy of what you submit.

For a written application, the official website gives the addressee as the Principal, Nakuru College of Health Sciences and Management, P.O. Box 12906–20100, Nakuru. Confirm whether a physical submission is needed for your intake.

5. Ask about accommodation and reporting

The college's published guidance says accommodation is available by arrangement and subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the college early if you need accommodation, and confirm the current cost, facilities, allocation process and reporting arrangements directly.

Before travelling, ask for confirmation of your application status, admission decision, fee structure, reporting date, orientation schedule and any course-specific items you must bring.

6. Use these questions when contacting Admissions
